Miss Chu Tuckshop, Sydney

I went down to visit Miss Chu's on George Street for lunch with a group of friends. As you walk down the escalator, you notice unusual tables (like ironing boards!) and small chairs. The restaurant itself does look like a tuck shop except permanently stationary. The atmosphere is quite nice and inviting! Really makes you want to try out their food. Their menu and specials are displayed on blackboards. Alternatively, you can download the app on your smartphone and browse through their complete menu. As you sit at the table, you will notice a booklet titled "Me thirsty" where you can mark off what drinks you would like. To order your food, it is a similar process however you must approach the counter to receive the order form for food.

So I ordered Prawn Har Gow (Prawn Dumplings) and Banh Cuon. The sauce used for Prawn Har Gow was not your typical soy sauce. It was strong and had a sweet and sour taste to it. I found it quite strange and prefer the typical sauce. The Banh Cuon however was good! Would definitely have it again.

Overall, I'd say Miss Chu is a bit overpriced but I would come back to try out other things on their menu.
